The room
Henlys sits in a Georgian building on Church Street, a minute from Coinagehall Street. Inside: a bottle-green panelled bar with copper taps, granite pillars left bare, deco fan wallpaper in teal and blush, velvet tub chairs on brass legs and a red banquette down one wall.
The kitchen runs Wednesday to Saturday evenings – tapas and small plates to share, Pizzas Romano, four steaks, burgers and Cornish ice cream to finish. The bar runs cocktails, wine by the glass and bottle, draught beer and coffee.
The same room takes bingo on a Wednesday, a monthly quiz, themed dinner nights and private parties – weddings, wakes, birthdays and everything between.
Bottomless brunch
Bookings run from noon to 7pm. Call 01326 453951 to fix a date and party size.
Only once a drink is finished will it be replaced. Drinks cannot be shared. Drinking to excess will not be permitted and participants must drink responsibly at all times. Henlys reserves the right to refuse service at any time without prior notice; if anyone is refused service the bottomless brunch is terminated for the whole party without refund. No discounts or vouchers can be used. Joining of other parties is not permitted. A maximum of 14 guests are permitted to any one bottomless brunch party and all guests must pay the full £37.50, including non-drinkers. A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is taken at the time of booking, with the remainder paid on arrival before the brunch commences.

Three courses for £35 with a Caribbean punch on arrival. Jerk chicken kebabs, crab cakes and Reggae Reggae nachos to start; goat curry with roti, jerk beef burger, thyme and lime chicken thigh, salmon in mango and ginger, or a jerk sweet potato and black bean curry, all with rice and peas and fried plantain.

Bingo books are £5 for six games, with prizes for winners and runners-up. Reservations recommended, walk-ins welcome.
Private function hire
Henlys takes private functions with personalised buffets: weddings, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, work and surprise parties, and wakes. Personalised menus are available, and a DJ can be arranged – ask staff for details.
